Murchison falls national park is the largest and oldest conservation park in Uganda , covering 3,893 square kilometers (1,503 sq mi). Bisected by the Victoria Nile, it features the world’s most powerful waterfall where the river squeezes through an 8-meter gorge and plunges 45 meters. The park is located in the Northwestern part of Uganda.
This park, accommodate 76 mammal species including Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Buffalos, Rothschild’s giraffes, Hippos, Nile crocodiles and many others.
And when it comes to birds, this park accommodates 450 species of birds including the shoebill stork.
